Hello and welcome to my website!

My name is Olivia, but you can call me Liv.

I started my business fresh out of university after ironically studying fashion. The fashion studio was next to the make-up studio at Bournemouth Arts University and I always found myself wandering in there to look at all the special FX work they were doing. The university were offering evening courses in make-up and on the fourth session they had a teacher who came in to talk to us all about being a Bridal Make-up artist. I had found my calling!

I absolutely love all things wedding. I am a sucker for anything emotional, hearing your aisle music, your vows, hearing who’s walking you down the aisle, how you met your partner. Even the decor, the flowers, the dress - I just love a wedding!

I finished my make-up course but there wasn’t a qualification at the end and it didn’t go over the hygiene or medical backgrounds clients could have so I enrolled on my Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification and here I learnt facials, manicures, pedicures, make-up application, waxing and eyebrow tinting. I didn’t enjoy doing nails or waxing armpits but I still offer everything else to this day!

I am married myself so this massively helps with me knowing what its like to be a bride and plan a wedding. I have two children so often relate to a lot of my clients who are Mum’s too! When both my children finally both started at school I learnt how to do lash extensions so that I was able to be in the salon with a more repeat client base. It was lovely getting to know my brides but bridal make-up isn’t a regular thing unless they recommend me to a friend and we meet again when they were a bridesmaid!

I absolutely love doing lashes, after having so many years under my belt of working against time pressures and having to be good but equally as fast in my work - I took to lashes like a duck to water! I love creating all different styles of lashes and tailoring each set to the person. Whether that be their eye shape, overall look, job or beauty budget!

I pride myself in offering a professional, friendly service from start to finish. I’m organised, understanding and welcoming. I love making my clients feel their very best and meeting new people!

I'm super easy to talk to and have such a laugh with all my clients. I’m really understanding and down to earth - if you’ve had a bad day and don’t want to chat during your lashes I totally get it, equally if you want cheering up I’m here to make you smile! I have absolutely loved starting doing lashes as I now have so many regulars that come back every 2-3 weeks and we know each other so well. I impress myself with how good my memory is! Remembering what breed your dog is, what holiday you’re going on and who’s mother in law is driving them nuts.

I’m super organised and like to think I have a seamless booking process. If you’re looking for bridal make-up, fill in an enquiry form, off the back of the enquiry form if I can do your date you will be sent to a secret page within this website exclusively for my future bridal bookings. This has a second, in depth booking form and details on the payment and payment details, you will then receive your online bridal guide written by me with all my tips and tricks that I’ve learnt over the last 9 years doing Bridal Make-up. Every bride that reads this LOVES it! You will then use my booking system to book yourself in a bridal trial, and when we meet here we go over every tiny detail of your wedding. I will ensure I have the correct location on my Google Maps to follow, know where to park my car, if there’s a ticket machine and how long it will take me to get there and usually add 45 minutes and sit in my car mega early as I hate being late! It couldn’t be easier.

I recently took an A-Level equivalent course in Digital Marketing as I love all things design, Canva and really enjoy making things for parties, hen dos and weddings! I make all my own business stationary and designs and made this website too! I have huge, huge ideas to combine this with my passion for the wedding industry so watch this space!

I have a huge variety of clients and will adapt my style to fit your needs. I have clients from 16 all the way up to 80! I’m a massive believer in loving yourself and building up your confidence! I am your number one hype girl. It breaks my heart when clients are self-conscious about their looks so I absolutely love being able to help you help you feel a million bucks when you leave the salon or head off to an event!

I trained in lash lifts around 6 months ago so that I really do have a treatment for everyone. If you’re not a lash extension lover then a lash lift is perfect for you as it really opens up the eye and gives such a feminine look! I can help you decide what treatment would be best for you.

I myself am a chronic people pleaser so I know how British we can all be about being over polite when we’re not happy with a service so I love that everything I offer can be tweaked, I haven’t injected anyone or chopped their hair off so I love coaxing people out their comfort zone to tell me how they really want it to look and I love that we then find the perfect look together! It’s all about being honest and communicating, if you give me the respect of being honest during your appointment I will never, ever be offended - I love having your input as the customer is always right after all and we can find a harmony between my skills and your preference.
